KATHUA, Jan 18: DIG Jammu-Kathua Range Shakeel Ahmed Beig today inaugurated a Health Club at Ramkot.
Speaking on the occasion DIG said that the equipment has been provided for the health club by J&K Police under Civic Action Programme in order to channelize the youth energy in the right direction.
He said involvement of the youth in physical exercise in such health clubs as well as sports activities is required.
DIG said young generation needs to be motivated to perform physical exercises in the health club in order to keep them mentally and physically fit and keep them away from drug addiction and other social evils.
Large number of Sarpanchs, Panchs, senior citizens, educationists and students were present on the occasion.
Sarpanchs and senior citizens demanded up-gradation of police post Ramkote, for which they were assured that matter will be taken up with the higher authorities accordingly.
DIG Jammu was accompanied by Rajnish Pran, SP Staff Officer to DIG Jammu Range, Mohan Lal, SP Kathua and Rafeeq Manhas, SDPO Basohli.
