JAMMU, Nov 23: A.S.N. Hr Sec School, Channi Himmat today win in both the categories of Inter-School Quiz Competition “Bharat Ko Jano” organized by Shivalik Branch of Bharat Vikas Parishad at School auditorium.
Twelve teams from six schools participated in Junior and Senior level category. The schools participated were A.S.N Hr Sec School, Channi Himmat, Tiny Tots Hr. Sec. School, Sainik Colony, Modern Public School, Channi Himmat, Himmat Learning Hr. Sec. School, Channi Himmat, Bal Bharti Public Hr. Sec. School, Channi Rama and J S Luthra Academy, Channi Himmat.
Shiv Kumar Sharma, DIG JKS Range was the chief guest on the occasion while Ritu Mahajan, Additional Secretary School Education Department was the special invitee where as Sonu Pargal, Deputy Commissioner, Sales Tax Enforcement was the guest of honour.
Also present on the occasion were Shiv Ram Sharma, Arun Sharma, H.C Vaid, Ashok Khajuria, Rakesh Sharma, Ashok Gupta and Anju Bansal.
The competition started with Junior category first where in A.S.N.Hr.Sec. School stood first with 86 marks.
In the Senior Category, A.S.N.Hr.Sec. School got the victory again and stood first with 81 marks.
Speaking on the occasion, Shiv Kumar Sharma, DIG congratulated the participating schools for their active participation and appreciated the enthusiasm and energy of the students participating in this event. He added that Inter-School Competitions like these foster a spirit of healthy competition, teamwork and learning.
