JAMMU, Nov 3: Different educational institutions here today celebrated Diwali by organizing different programmes.
Diwali celebrations were held at K.C College of Education where Rangoli competition was held and the students beautifully displayed designs and colours.
A rally was organized by Red-Ribbon Club, NCC Naval Wing and Infantry Girls wing of GDC Kathua to minimize the use of explosives & crackers during Diwali celebrations.
KIDZEE celebrated Diwali and Bhaiya Dhooj at its Talab Tillo, Gandhi Nagar and Channi Himmat branches with great pomp and show.
DRS Kids International School, Harsa Dabbar Bishnah celebrated Diwali with great enthusiasm and fervour. The school was decorated with lights.
Students of Tiny Tots School Residency Road today organized different events like Rangoli, candle making, card making etc to celebrate Diwali.
Mount Litera Zee School, Anand Nagar, Bohri Jammu and Tarore Bridge, Samba and its junior wing Kidzee celebrated Diwali and Bhaiya Dhooj with religious fervor and enthusiasm.
Jammu Sanskriti School, Kathua celebrated Diwali with great fervor, enthusiasm and devotion. Main theme of all the activities was to celebrate eco-friendly Diwali.
On the eve of Diwali Maharaja Hari Singh DAV Cent Public School Akhnoor organized various competitions like handwriting, Diya decoration, Rangoli making etc.
Students of Home Science Department, Government P.G College for Women Gandhi Nagar Jammu organized a Diwali Mela in the college premises to showcase young entrepreneurial skills. The students showcased their skills by exhibiting handmade Diwali items like Diyas, Candles, Shagun envelopes etc.
Celebrations of Diwali came alive at G.D Goenka Public School Jammu wherein the children of primary wing invited everyone to a cultural extravaganza. The song ‘Diwali Aayee Re’ brought out the essence of the festival celebration.
DPS Nagbani celebrated Diwali with a message of minimizing the use of crackers.
Cradle 2 Crayons Pre and Primary School, Dogra Nagar Muthi celebrated Diwali with great enthusiasm and fervor wherein the school was decorated with flowers and lights.
DPS Jammu celebrated Diwali with great devotion, enthusiasm and excitement and the whole school wore a festive look with lights.
On the eve of Diwali, a Rangoli and Diya making competition was organized at Vimal Muni College of Education in Vijaypur.
To celebrate Diwali festival, various competitions like Rangoli, painting and poster making were held at Government Girls High School Chak Malal.
