Deepak, Pavit, Shubam fashion Ishar Club’s big win

JAMMU, Jan 30: The trio of Deepak Dogra, Shubam Khajuria and Pavit Singh Ishar fashioned Ishar Cricket Club’s huge win over Azlaan Cricket Club in the ongoing 3rd Parmodh Memorial Cricket Tournament, being organized by Mandal Cricket Club at playfield Mandal, near here.
Batting first, Ishar Club scored a mammoth total of 197 runs in the stipulated 20 overs by losing 7 wickets. Deepak Dogra was the top scorer with 66 runs, which included 5 fours and 4 sixes, while Shubam Khajuria slammed 58 runs with the help of 4 boundaries and 3 sixes. Paras Sharma and Sourab Chopra contributed 20 and 18 runs to the total respectively. Paras made all the runs with boundaries. For Azlaan Club, Faiz Ahmed scalped 4 wickets, while Rashid, Abid and Muneer claimed one wicket each.
Azlaan Club in reply bundled out for a meagre total of 106 runs in 14 overs, thus lost the match by a huge margin of 91 runs. Abid (37) and Shabaad (30) were the main contributors, while Faiz Ahmed chipped in with 16 runs. Pavit Singh Ishar was the wrecker-in-chief for Ishar Cricket Club, who captured 4 important wickets by conceding 15 runs in his 3 overs, while Deepak Dogra bagged 3 wickets by giving away 9 runs in his 2 overs. Sahil Sharma and Sourab Chopra claimed one wicket each. For his superb all-round display, Deepak Dogra was adjudged man of the match.
The match was officiated by Arun and Sunil as umpire, while Sunny Sharma was the scorer. GS Michael is the organizing secretary of the tournament.
