JAMMU, Nov 27: DCM Public School, Akhnoor celebrated its 7th Annual Day ‘UTSAV -2016’ on two consecutive days for its Junior and Senior wings, here.
The Junior School programme was an absolute display of shimmering colours, while the senior School programme was equally a package of abundant zeal and fervour.
Simrandeep Singh, Deputy Commissioner, Jammu was the chief guest while ID Soni, State Commissioner, Bharat Scouts and Guides was the guest of honour.
On day two today for junior School, Dr. Parshotam Singh Pathania (Retd) Registrar University of Jammu and Central University, Jammu was the chief guest while NR Sharma, Head Dean Jammu University and Dean Students Welfare Central University was the guest of honour.
Sunaina Sharma, SDM Akhnoor and Kuldeep Singh Jamwal were the special guests.
The function started with welcome of the guests and the ceremonial lighting of the lamp followed by scintillating performances of the students witnessed by the parents, the social and education luminaries and the alumni of the institution.
The Director of the School, Dheeraj Jamwal Sharma delivered a very thought provoking welcome speech, while the Principal of the School, Rama Jamwal read out the Annual Report highlighting the prominent achievements of the School during the Academic year.
The chief guests Simrandeep Singh, Deputy Commissioner, Jammu and Parshotam Singh Pathania (Retd) Registrar University of Jammu stressed upon imbibing moral values amongst the students and complimented the endeavours of the staff and students for putting up such a stupendous show.
The meritorious students were awarded with trophies and mementos for the remarkable achievements in the academics and co-curricular activities for the Session 2016.
Vote of thanks was presented by the Chairman of the School, S.P Sharma, while the programme concluded with singing of National Anthem.
