REASI, Dec 17: District Development Commissioner, Reasi, Nidhi Malik, today flagged off a five-day residential trekking expedition for boys and girls to Patnitop. The expedition, organized by the District Youth Services and Sports Department, aims to promote adventure-based activities and character-building among youth.
During her interaction with the participants, Malik praised the efforts of the department and encouraged the trekkers to maintain discipline, teamwork and respect for nature. She highlighted the importance of such camps in developing leadership, confidence, and resilience, which would benefit both academic and personal growth.
Tarsem Singh, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, provided details about the camp, which includes participants from all zones of Reasi. The camp will be supervised by officials Balwan Singh, Kuldeep Raj, Mohd Raiz, Arun Dev Singh, Jagdev Singh, Rakesh Kumar, Ankush Sharma, Neha Sharma, Madhu Rani and Rajan Kumar. Ujjwal Sambyal, District Information Officer, was also present.
