JAMMU, May 16: The 14th District Martial Arts Championship was organized at DBN School, Mubarak Mandi, Jammu, under the aegis of Freedom Society – an Association of Sports and Martial Arts J&K (FSASMA). The championship was led and organized by Karun Khajuria, an International and National Gold Medalist and Chairman of the society.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from various schools and clubs. DBN School Mubarak Mandi emerged as the top performer with 12 Gold, 6 Silver and 1 Bronze medal in the championship. Rhyme Time Playway School secured 5 Gold, 3 Silver and 4 Bronze, followed by 4 Gold and 1 Silver by another private school while Private Club participants bagged 3 Gold medals.
The opening ceremony was graced by Rajendra Kakkar, Manager Cum Secretary as chief guest, Darshan Lal, Manager-Co-Manager Trustee as special guest of honour, Priya Singh, Principal, DBN School, Valvinder Singh, Sunna Syal (Headmistress) and Suman Banbah. The closing ceremony was presided over by Priya Singh and Sunna Syal.
The gold medal winners were Saanjali Singh, Pallavi Kumari, Rashi Sharma, Nikunj Sharma, Virat Kumar, Aarya Khajuria, Shivanya , Adarsh Gupta, Aradhya Kapoor, Parav Sharma, Advay Singh, Yashasvi Nanda, Vishal Dogra, Navdeep Rajput and Lavit Verma. The championship was conducted smoothly under the supervision of Karun Khajuria along with officials and instructors of the society.
