RAJOURI, June 2: A Day and Night Cricket Tournament was inaugurated at Sports Stadium Kheora in memory of Late Dr. Raj Kumar Thappa, former Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Rajouri.
The event was formally inaugurated by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Rajouri, Gaurav Sikarwar. The tournament, organized to honour Dr. Thappa’s contributions, drew a large gathering of locals and civil society members.
Shafqat Mir, President of Islamic Welfare Society, was present along with other dignitaries and residents who came to pay tribute. SSP Gaurav Sikarwar appreciated the organizers for choosing a sports event to commemorate the late officer and highlighted the role of sports in promoting discipline, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles among youth.
