JAMMU, Mar 14: The ongoing 11th Shaheed Bhagat Singh Sub Junior Men Hockey Championship at KK Hakku Hockey Stadium, Jammu, saw two semi-final matches played today.
In the first semi-final, Badal Club Srinagar defeated Bandhurakh Hockey Club via tie-breakers after a 2-2 draw in regular time. Badal Club’s Jersey No 22 scored in the 25th minute and Jersey No 27 added another in the 58th minute. Bandhurakh Hockey Club responded with goals from Sonu (32nd minute) and Ankit (48th minute). In the tie-breaker, Badal Club converted three goals, while Bandhurakh scored two.
The second semi-final saw Guru Nanak Nagar Hockey Club dominate Khalsa Hockey Club, winning by 9-0. Daksh scored two goals (18th and 19th minutes), followed by Cap Ramandeep (22nd minute) and goals from Manpreet, Harmandeep, Tejvir, and Prabal.
The first semi-final was inaugurated by Ishan Sharma, while the second match was inaugurated by Gurmeet Singh, Chief Engineer (Retd) and veteran hockey player.
The final match will be played between Badal Hockey Club and Guru Nanak Nagar Hockey Club tomorrow at 4 pm at KK Hakku Hockey Stadium, Jammu.
