18th Christmas Gold Cup Football Tournament

JAMMU, Jan 1: The 18th Christmas Gold Cup Football Tournament continued with thrilling action on its third day, held at the Mini Sports Stadium Parade in Jammu. Two exciting matches took place, showcasing top-tier football talent.
In the first match, Young Rovers FC and Nagrota FC played a closely contested game that ended in a 1-1 draw. The first goal came in the 8th minute, with Prakul scoring for Young Rovers. Nagrota FC equalized in the 35th minute, with Mohit finding the back of the net. The match proceeded to a tie-breaker, where Nagrota FC triumphed and advanced to the next round.
The second match of the day saw Surankot FC edge out United FC Kathua with a narrow 1-0 victory, showcasing a well-fought battle between the two sides.
The first match was graced by Mohan Lal, former secretary of DFA Jammu, as the chief guest, while the second match had Rakesh Kumar, an international player, in attendance. Other dignitaries included Yousaf Don (Organizing Secretary), David Masih, Ramesh Chander, Mohd. Shuja, Kamaljeet Kumar, Rajesh Sumbria, Charanpreet Singh, Sebastian and Rattan Lal.
The matches were officiated by referees Ricky Kumar, Bilal Ahmed, Romesh Chander and Dheeraj Meenia, ensuring fair play throughout the competition.
