JAMMU, Jan 30: The Inter-State Youth Exchange Programme, organised by MY Bharat Jammu under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, witnessed a series of lively and informative sessions on its second day at Kalika Dham, Jammu. The programme aims to empower youth through knowledge-sharing, discussion, and practical guidance on real-life issues.
Ranjeet Kalra, Senior Teaching Faculty at Jammu University and ace sports administrator led an interactive session on the Role of Youth in Nation-Building. He motivated participants to pursue goals with discipline, perseverance, and focus, emphasizing the need to prioritize and avoid distractions. He also shared personal experiences to inspire youth to achieve their full potential.
Dr Ajay Sharma, SP South, conducted a session highlighting the dangers of drugs and the importance of cyber security. He stressed that youth have a critical role in curbing the demand and supply of drugs and cautioned participants against over-dependence on smart phones, while elaborating on cyber fraud threats.
A Group Discussion on “Viksit Bharat @ 2047” was convened by Dr Nitin Sharma, who outlined key pillars including sustainability, good governance, women empowerment, population control, environment, fit India, robust economy, and education. Shireen Kalra, Program Officer Oxford University’s Global Leadership Program, contributed insights on the National Education Policy and the Prime Minister’s initiatives for a progressive Viksit Bharat.
The programme is organized under the guidance of Nitin Hangloo, Deputy Director MY Bharat. Volunteers Joginder Sangra and Rahul Kumar, under Anmol Bajaj, APA, ensured the smooth conduct of the event. A total of 37 youth participants from Haryana are attending the 5-day programme, engaging in discussions, interactive sessions, and group activities aimed at fostering leadership and nation-building skills.
