JAMMU, Dec 21: The Swami Vivekanand Sports Club organized the Dashmesh Kabaddi Competition at Ved Mandir Ground, Ambphalla, Jammu. A total of 22 teams from Jammu, Doda, Bhaderwah, Ramban, Kathua, Akhnoor and Samba participated across three categories: Under-14, Under-17, and Under-19, along with a girls’ category.
In the Under-14 category, Ved Pathshala emerged winner, defeating KC Udhampur. Ram Van won Under-17, beating Udhampur Tigers, while Doda claimed the Under-19 title, defeating Khor. In the girls’ category, Doda triumphed over DBN Jammu.
The event was graced by Yudhvir Sethi (MLA, Jammu East), Arun Prabhat Singh (BJYM J&K), Suneet Raina, Sardar Sucha Singh, Akash Kohli and Priya Singh, with referees Anita Singh, Kuljeet Singh, Kulwant Singh and Skinder Kumar overseeing matches.
The organizing committee, including KC Mehta, Sanjay Tutu, Balbir Singh, Sudesh Thakur, Vipin Sharma, Deependra Gautam, Pratap Singh, Vansh Sharma and Kuljeet Singh, ensured smooth conduct, providing a platform for young Kabaddi talent to shine.
