JAMMU, Mar 5: The students of Cluster University Jammu have made their institution proud by securing the second position at the prestigious All India Shri Nandlal Gadiya Memorial Debate – 2025 held at Mewar University, Chittorgarh, Rajasthan. The university’s national debate team, led by Mohd Ashraf, Assistant Professor in Commerce and Assistant Dean of Dean Students Welfare, competed against top universities across the country.
The winning team comprised outstanding debaters Manmeet Kour and Aakrida Mahajan, who participated in the English category. Their exceptional debating skills and intellectual acumen helped them clinch the runners-up trophy, defeating some of the most respected institutions in the nation. Along with them, the team also included Suneha Sharma and Bhoomika Sharma, who contributed to the team’s success.
Applauded the team, Professor K.S. Chandershekhar, Vice-Chancellor of Cluster University of Jammu, said, “This remarkable achievement reflects the academic strength and debating prowess of our students. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the team and their mentor Mohd Ashraf for bringing this national honour to the university.”
Ankur Mahajan, the Registrar, emphasized the significance of the victory, stating, “Winning at a national level against top institutions is no small feat. Our students demonstrated exceptional intellectual capacity, confidence, and commitment.”
