CRPF organises cricket match

JAMMU, Nov 19: A friendly cricket match was organised by CRPF Group Centre Bantalab between the team of Group Centre Bantalab and Kendriya Vidyalaya Jammu, here today.
The CRPF Group Centre team emerged as winner, while Kendriya Vidyalaya Jammu team was declared as runner up.
Bhupinder Singh, DIGP, J&K Zone CRPF was the chief guest on the occasion, while Gazetted Officer, Subordinate Officer and Jawans of Group Centre Jammu, teachers and students of Kendriya Vidyalaya Bantalab witnessed the match as spectators.
The DIGP CRPF said that harmony and unity have to be promoted between the people of India by maintaining peace and harmony in the country. He also stressed the maintenance of physical fitness by everyone. In this sequence, a cricket match was organized today, in which all the players participated in a disciplined manner by showing a high level of sportsmanship.
The winning team members including the players who performed very well during the match were awarded with trophies by the chief guest.
On this occasion, D. Manunath, Deputy Commissioner, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan Jammu told in his address about the importance of sports and praised the game displayed by Bhanu Partap Singh, DIG Jammu.
The match was organized under able leadership of Bhanu Pratap Singh, DIGP, in which TN Khuntia, DIGP J&K Zone, PC Gupta, Commandant, GC Jammu, GS Mehta, Assistant Commissioner and many others officers were present during the event.
