Srinagar, Feb 4: A cricket tournament organized by Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) under the civic action programme here in summer capital concluded today.
A statement issued here by SSB said the Commandant of 47th Battalion S Subramaniam on behalf of DIG HQ (Special Operationss) Sector Headquarters Special Operation, inaugurated the ‘Karwan-i-Aman SSB-Cricket Tournament 2016’. The teams that participated in the tournament included Civil Defence Srinagar, Batmaloo Cricket Club, NIT Haratbal and Assar Cricket Club.
The final match was played between Assar and NIT Hazratbal, in which Assar won the match. “The final score by Assar was 164 for the loss of 8 wickets and NIT was all out for 108 only. Din Mohd of Assar Club was adjudged Man of the match as he was 58 not out and claimed two wickets. Moin-ul-Islam from NITs was declared Man of the Series,” it said.
The prizes were distributed by Officiating DIG SSB K Ranjit who was the chief guest on the occasion in presence of Commandant Subramaniam.
