JAMMU, May 29: Vice-Chancellor of Cluster University of Jammu, Dr. K.S. Chandrasekar, today felicitated outstanding sportspersons of the University who brought laurels at the International, National and All India Inter-University levels for the session 2024-2025.
In a special ceremony, Dr. Chandrasekar was joined by Dr. Vinod Bakshi, Director Physical Education & Sports, Cluster University of Jammu; Neenu Sawhney, Physical Director, Govt. MAM College; Ravi Kumar, Physical Director, SPMR College of Commerce and Kajal Premi, Physical Director, GCW Gandhi Nagar, to honour the medal winners.
Among the achievers were Imran, who bagged a Bronze Medal in the All India Grappling (Men) Inter-University Competition; Jiya Choudhary, who clinched a Silver Medal in the Senior National Pencak Silat (Women) event and Aneesha Sharma, who secured a Bronze Medal in the All India Inter-University Shooting (Women) competition.
Special recognition was given to Nazia Bibi, who represented India in the Kho-Kho (Women) World Cup held in Delhi, where the team emerged victorious with a Gold Medal. Kartavya Gupta was also honoured for winning Gold in the All India Inter-University Wushu (Men) competition.
