JAMMU, Jan 31: The Cluster University of Jammu’s Netball Inter-College Tournament concluded at GGM Science College, here today with Science College clinching the men’s title and GCW Gandhinagar emerging victorious in the women’s category.
In the men’s matches, Science College narrowly defeated SPMR College by 10-9 in the opening game and edged past MAM College by 6-5 in the final to secure the championship. In the women’s category, GGM Science College won their initial matches against SPMR College by 15-13 and MAM College by 6-4. The final saw GCW Gandhinagar triumph over GGM Science College by 6-4 to claim the top spot.
The event was graced by Dr Vinod Bakshi, Director of Sports & Physical Education, Cluster University of Jammu; Dr Devinder Kumar Sharma, Incharge Director of Sports & Physical Education, GGM Science College and Ravi, Physical Director of SPMR College. The tournament’s technical panel comprised Arjun Soni, Akshit Arora, Dhruv Gupta, Lalit, Radhika Manhas and Taniya Choudhary.
With these wins, Science College and GCW Gandhinagar were officially declared champions of the Netball Inter-College Championship for the men’s and women’s categories, respectively.
