Christmas Gold Cup: Elegant FC shines in Quarterfinals

JAMMU, Dec 26: In the ongoing 19th Christmas Gold Cup Football Tournament, organized by the All J&K Sports & Cultural Welfare Association, two exciting matches were played at Mini Stadium, Parade Ground, here today.
In the first match (pre-quarterfinal), Pegasus FC defeated City FC Udhampur by 2-1. Abid opened the scoring for Pegasus FC in the 18th minute, followed by Rooponsh’s strike in the 68th minute. Surjeet pulled one back for City FC Udhampur. The match was officiated by Bilal Ahmed, Dheeraj Menia, Ricky and Ajay Singh.
In the second match (quarterfinal), Elegant FC Srinagar dominated Nagrota FC, winning by 6-0 with goals scored in the 6th, 19th, 35th, 37th, 49th, and 70th minutes. The referees for the match were Ajay Singh, Kartik Sharma, Satnam Singh and Aman. Tomorrow, the tournament will continue with a single fixture between Samba FC and Star FC Srinagar.
