Chib reviews arrangements for Kashmir Premier League

SRINAGAR, July 13:  Minister for Youth Services and Sports Mr. R S Chib today finalized the arrangements for holding final match under the name and style of KPL-2 (Chinar Cup-2012) which will be held on July 19 at Srinagar.
The final of the tournament which has been organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports in collaboration with Army will be held on July 19.
Brigadier Khanduri of 15 Corps gave details about the progress of Phase-II of the tournament and informed that a team from  district Anantnag, Anantnag Arsenals defeating Srinagar Sherdils  has already made to the final of the tournament, while as the semi-final between Ganderbal Gladiators and Srinagar Shah Jehan will be played tomorrow to decide the final slot.
Brigadier Khanduri further elaborated that the best three teams will be sponsored outside to play with the ace cricketers of the country and  three outstanding cricketers emerging best from the tournament will also be sponsored for advanced training from the elite cricket academies of the country.
Among others, Director Information, Mr. Zaffar Ahmad Bhat, Director, Youth Services and Sports, S. Jaipal Singh, Secretary J&K State Sports Council, Mr. Daleep Thussu, President J&K Football Association, Mr. Thakur, Joint Secretary J&K State Sports Council Prof. Bashir Ahmad and Maj. Amit Singh from the Army authorities attended the meeting.
