UDHAMPUR, Dec 6: BVM Higher Secondary School Udhampur celebrated its annual day and prize distribution ceremony with great splendour, enthusiasm and pride, marking a major highlight of the academic calendar.
Kapil Khanna, President Vishwa Hindu Parishad (Delhi Province) and Chairman of Sant Ishwar Foundation & Education Shiksha Samiti, graced the occasion as the chief guest. Arun Kumar Gupta and MLA Udhampur East, Ranveer Singh Pathania, attended as special guests. The programme was held under the guidance of Principal Renu Sharma.
The ceremony began with the traditional lighting of the lamp, followed by a serene Saraswati Vandana. In her welcome address, Principal Renu Sharma highlighted the school’s achievements and praised the unwavering support of teachers and parents.
Prominent dignitaries including Vijay Kumar Sharma, Anil Khajuria, Chand Mittal, School President Shiv Kumar Sharma and members of the School Management Committee also attended the programme. Shiv Kumar Sharma lauded the school’s progress in academics and co-curricular excellence, emphasising the collective efforts of staff and parents.
A colourful cultural programme featuring classical and folk dances, patriotic songs, skits and instrumental performances enthralled the audience. The highlight of the event was the prize distribution ceremony, where meritorious students were honoured for excellence in academics, sports, cultural activities, and leadership qualities.
Chief Guest praised the school’s growth from humble beginnings and encouraged students to dream big while upholding moral values. The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Pankaj Dubey, expressing gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the celebration.
