RAJOURI, Aug 31: The Budhal Spikers Cup 2025 was inaugurated with great enthusiasm at Government Girls High School Budhal, here today, drawing participation and support from across the region. The opening ceremony was graced by Tasaduk Bhat (Vice President, Volleyball Association Rajouri), Farooq Baba, Mohiudin Malik, Maqsood Malik, Anzar Hussain, Mohd Farooq, Bilal Thakar and several other prominent figures.
The tournament began with an exciting opening match between Peer Panjal and Gabbar, marking the start of the knockout series. Organizers emphasized that the aim of the event is to promote sports culture among the youth and combat drug abuse in society.
Waqar Lone highlighted Budhal’s strong sports spirit, stating, “Children as young as 12 and elders up to 75 cheer together – it shows the unity of our community.” The event witnessed a vibrant turnout, reinforcing Budhal’s emergence as a hub for sports and youth engagement.
