BSF wins ‘Goenka Cricket Challenge T20’ title

JAMMU, Jan 30: Defeating the hosts GD Goenka Public School by a convincing margin in the summit clash, BSF School Paloura lifted the title trophy of the Goenka Cricket Challenge T20 Inter-School Cricket Tournament, here today.
The 10-days long tournament which was inaugurated by Poonam Jha, Principal GD Goenka Public School on January 21, was participated by elite five schools including Jodhamal Public School, JP World School, RRL High School, BSF Public School and GD Goenka Public School, Jammu.
Earlier, batting first, BSF School scored 180 runs, while in reply GD Goenka bundled out for 111 runs, thus helping BSF to win by 69 runs.
Sourav Bhagat of BSF School was declared man of the match for a brilliant knock of 77 runs, while Agreeney Happa of GD Goenka Public School was adjudged man of the series for his superb display during the tournament. The fair play award trophy went to RRL High School.
School Principal Poonam Jha distributed prizes among the winners and runners-up teams on the occasion. Cricket coach Sukomal Ganguly was the organizer of the tournament.
