BSF School Paloura emerges overall champion in District Taekwondo

JAMMU, Dec 7: BSF School Paloura emerged overall champion in 10th Inter-School Taekwondo Championship, being organized by Rakwal Taekwondo Club in collaboration with District Jammu Taekwondo at Sprawling Buds School, Chinore, Bantalab, here.
Sprawling Buds School bagged runner-up trophy.
The Championship was held under the aegis of J&K Taekwondo Association and Taekwondo Federation of India recognized by Jammu and Kashmir  Olympics Association, India Olympics Association, Ministry of Youth affairs & Sports, Govt. of India.
Around 300 players/officials participated in this championship and players from the whole Jammu District Schools and Clubs showcased their skills.
The Championship was started with the demonstration of Taekwondo skills by young boys and girls of different institutions.
The chief guest on the Closing Ceremony was Ram Khajuria, Secretary Indian Mountaineering, North Zone Committee, who while speaking on the occasion congratulated all the participants/organizers.
Ajit Singh Tanwar (NIS, Athletics), Deputy Commandant BSF was the guest of honour.
DN Pangotra, general secretary, J&K Taekwondo Association and Arti Sharma, Director, Apple Kids School was the special guest on the occasion.
Chairman of Organizing Committee was Rahul Sharma, Director, Sprawling Buds School, while Gurinder Rakwal, Senior Taekwondo Coach was the organizing secretary of the event.
Anuj Sharma, National Referee was the convener of the event, while the technical team was headed by Atul Pangotra, NIS (International Referee), besides State and Sher-e-Kashmir Awardee. The officiating penal included Sanjay Kumar, Rajat Thakur, Arvind  Kumar Satti, Rohit Sharma, Narinder Sharma, Nitish Anand, Vipan Sharma, Sourabh and Anil Singh Parihar.
