JAMMU, July 12: Under the guidance of S S Tomar, IG BSF Ftr HQ Jammu has taken new initiative by way of organising summer coaching classes for rural back ground border area girls.
The objective of this programme was to utilize summer vacation of these girls and to prepare them for 10th and 12th exams and give them exposure to develop confidence for future challenges.
70 girls of 10th and 12th classes have participated in the programme and took benefit of the summer coaching classes.
During coaching classes, the students were provided facility of free boarding, lodging and coaching.
The experienced teachers of BSF Senior Secondary School Paloura have provided coaching to these girls in various subjects which included Computer, Science, English, Maths, Political Science, History and Physical Education etc.
The students were also given knowledge of weapon used by BSF and shown security mechanism at International Border, besides tourist places in Jammu City.
During the closing ceremony, IG BSF Jammu Ftr said that this is the beginning of new era as such initiatives are taken by BSF which involve girls for their betterment.
