JAMMU, May 2: The third day of the 1st Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji Memorial Hockey Tournament, held at Guru Tegh Bahadur Mini Stadium, Camp Gole Gujral, featured two one-sided matches.
In the first match, BSB Hockey Club Poonch dominated Khalsa Blues, securing a 5-0 victory. Ashu from BSB Hockey Club was named Man of the Match. The chief guest for the match, Dr. Anitipal Singh (Orthopaedician), praised the organizers and emphasized the importance of sports in diverting youth from drug abuse and other social evils.
The second match MBS Hockey Club Simbal defeated Khalsa Warriors by 4-0. Surpreet Singh was awarded Man of the Match. Former MLA Sukhnandan Chaudhary was the chief guest, while Parvinder Singh from Dubai attended as guest of honour.
Prominent dignitaries present included G.S. Bakshi, Gurpreet Singh, Supinder Deep Singh Bakshi and others. The matches were officiated by Gagandeep Singh, Pankaj, Balmeet Singh and Surinder Singh.
