Thalora Youth Football Tourney

SAMBA, Dec 25: Brothers Unity began the Under-17 Thalora Youth Football Tournament on a high note, defeating Army Public School Samba by 5-1 at Thalora Mandi Sports Ground. Ayush Sambyal, Rohit and Parth Sharma scored in the first half, giving Brothers Unity a dominant 3-0 lead. Vansh from Army Public School managed to score in the second half, but Kavya Kalsi and Yashvardhan restored the team’s advantage, sealing a 5-1 victory.
The tournament was inaugurated by former Jammu & Kashmir Cooperative Bank Chairman and senior NC leader Mohinder Singh, who motivated young players to engage in sports, stay physically fit and avoid drug abuse. He praised the organizers for promoting youth activities and emphasized the importance of such competitions in preparing athletes for national and international platforms.
Also present were former Sarpanch Varinder Singh Lucky, former Naib Sarpanch Bittu Singh, Mohan Singh, Subhash Singh, Gautam Singh, football coach Aman Sambyal, Aditeshwar Singh, Jatin Sambyal, and Anant Sambyal.
