JAMMU, Dec 9: British International School, Jammu, celebrated its Annual Day 2025 with grandeur under the theme “Rhythms of India – Where Every Step Tells a Story,” showcasing India’s rich cultural heritage through vibrant student performances.
The event was graced by chief guest Devyani Rana, MLA Nagrota, guests of honour Haseeb-Ur-Rehman, DIG Railways, Salahuddin Ahmed, Sub Judge / Special Mobile Magistrate, Vivek Ponsha, Additional Secretary, Home Department, Nirmal Kishore Kotwal, President, J&K High Court Bar Association; Sri Sri Tarun Sree1008 Mahamandeleswar; Satish Kumar Sharma, Joint CEO, Shrine Board Katra, Arun Bangotra, Principal, Government Polytechnic College Jammu and Managing Director Ajoy Gadhok. Special guests included Baldev Singh, Adv Anshu Mahajan, Adv Pardeep Majotra, Adv Rahul Aggarwal, Rajesh Gupta and Vasundhara.
The celebrations began with ceremonial lamp lighting, followed by welcome addresses by Indu Kapoor, Principal, Priyanka Katoch, Vice Principal and Ishant, Senior Coordinator. Students performed Saraswati Vandana, school song, kindergarten acts, Taekwondo, and regional folk dances including Dogri, Kashmiri, Bihu, Lavani, Garba, Kathputli, and Kalbeliya, concluding with an Indian Army tribute.
Awards were presented to students, teachers, and choreographers Akshay and Ankush. The programme ended with a Vote of Thanks by Priyanka Katoch.
