Block Reasi emerged overall winner

REASI, Oct 31: Two-day long Inter-Block Rural Competitions under CSS/PYKKA concluded at Zorawar Singh Sports Stadium Reasi in which about 300 boys and girls from the four Blocks of Reasi namely Arnas, Mahore, Pouni and Reasi Participated in the sporting disciplines of Volleyball, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Wrestling, Judo, Athletics and Badminton.
In the competition, Block Reasi emerged as the overall champions of these Inter-Block rural Tournaments closely followed by Block Pouni which remained second in the merit list. Block Arnas attained Third position.
The championship was inaugurated by Senior Superintendent of Police Reasi, Raghubir Singh, who was the chief guest, whereas, Mohd Aslam, District Social Welfare Officer Reasi and Arshad Khan, District Treasury Officer Reasi were the guests of honour.
The competition was organised under the overall supervision of Dr SS Chib, District Youth Services and Sports Officer Reasi.
Final Results
Volleyball (Boys): Block Arnas A, Block Arnas B and Block Reasi B, secured first, seond and third positions, respectively.
Kabaddi (Boys): Block Pouni A, Block Mahore and Block Pouni B claimed first, second and third positions respectively.
Kabaddi (Girls): Block Pouni A, Block Reasi A and Block Reasi B claimed first three rankings.
Kho-Kho (Boys): Block Reasi A, Block Pouni A and Reasi B claimed first, second and third positions respectively.
Kho-Kho (Girls): Block Reasi, Block Arnas and Block Pouni claimed first second and third positions respectively.
Athletics
100M RACE (Boys): Mukesh Kumar of Block Pouni, Jasbir Singh of Block Reasi and Sunil Kumar of Block Reasi, claimed first three rankings.
200M (Boys): Kewal Kumar of Block Arnas, Pardeep Kumar of Block Pouni and Kaka Singh of Block Arnas, secured first, second and third positions respectively.
100M (Girls): Pooja Devi of Block Pouni, Mehnaz Mir of Block Reasi and Renu Devi of Block Arnas claimed three top ranks
200M (Girls): Kiran Bala of Block Pouni, Riya Manhas of Block Reasi and Jyoti Devi of Block Reasi, claimed first, second and third positions respectively
Shortput (Boys): Balwant Singh (Block Pouni), Mohd Rafiq (Block Reasi) and Balvinder Singh (Block Pouni), secured top three ranks
Shortput (Girls): Sheema Begum (Block Pouni), Kiran Bala (Block Pouni) andPoonam Rani (Block Reasi) emerged winners.
Discus Throw (Boys): Karan Singh (Block Pouni), Noor-ul-Amin (Block Reasi) and Balwant Singh (Block Pouni) emerged winners.
