JAMMU, Jan 12: Under the banner of “Khalega Yuva Jeetega Bharat” BJYM’s Cricket Tournament was launched here today.
The Tournament was launched by the State President of Bhartiya Janata Party Jugal Kishore Sharma along with MLA Ashok Khajuria, Kavinder Gupta,  Sat Sharma CA, Yudhvir Sethi, Rajesh Gupta and Ravinder Raina in J&K on Sunday, January 12, the birthday of Swami Vivekananda.
BJYM’s national President, Anurag Thakur nominated BJYM’s  State General Secretary Ajay Pargal as Coordinator and  Karan Sharma, Honey Singh Jamwal, Tarun Sharma and Arif Raja as Co-Coordinators for this tournament.
The inaugural match of this tournament was played between Pt Prem Nath Dogra Cricket Club and Hind National Cricket Club which was won by Hind National Cricket. Launching the tournament at Parade ground- Jammu, Jugal Kishore Sharma highlighted the importance of sports and games in human life.
He said playing sports and games gives numerous benefits which can lead to overall improvement of body both mentally and physically and sports also boast up the strength which leads to activeness and keep the youth active all the time whether at time of work or studies, he added.
Speaking on the occasion MLA Ashok Khajuria said sports teach oneness and the discipline that makes a man perfect. He urged the youth follow the principles of Swami Vivekananda.
Sr BJP Leader and BJYM State Incharge while speaking on the occasion said this cricket tournament is launched in all the 29 States and 7 Union Territories under the slogan of “Khalega Yuva-Jeetega Bharat” with the motive of inducing a sense of oneness and sportsmanship among the people of India, youth in particular on the 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekanand Ji.
While addressing the youth and the cricket players BJYM State President Ravinder Raina said the youth in  Jammu and Kashmir suffered badly due to the terrorism and by organizing such tournaments BJYM has provided a chance to exhibit their talent and get chances to represent the  State and the Country at National and the international level. Large number of youth including BJYM’s State Vice President Ashish Sareen , BJYM’s district presidents Ajay Vaid and Ishant Gupta were also present on this occasion.
