LEH, Apr 1: To mark the importance of the Bhoti Language, Bhoti Day was celebrated at DIET Leh here today.
On this occasion, different programs such as recitation of poems, singing songs and extempore speeches were organised by the faculties of DIET, Leh.
Editor of Cultural Academy Leh, Dr. Thupstan Norbu was the chief guest.
He shared his valuable insights regarding Bhoti Language and the rationale for celebrating Bhoti Day.
Norbu strongly urged the faculties of DIET Leh to take personal interest in learning and promoting Bhoti Language by comprehending its values.
He also appreciated the faculties of DIET Leh headed by Principal Chetan Dorje for initiating various programs to preserve and promote this rich language.
Principal DIET Leh, Chetan Dorje briefed the audience regarding various programs initiated at DIET level to promote and preserve the Bhoti Language.
He articulated that these programs are in alignment with NEP-2020. He further assured that such programs will be promoted to achieve the goal of NEP-2020 to promote regional language in achieving students’ learning outcomes.
