SAMBA, Aug 6: Bhargava Public School, Samba organized a special programme to honour and felicitate the newly elected School Council. The event was graced by Sanjeev Pradhan, Principal of Army Public School, Samba, who attended as the chief guest.
The programme began with the ceremonial lamp lighting by the chief guest, School Chairman and Principal Subhash Kumar Baldotra, followed by a captivating Saraswati Vandana performed by students. In his welcome address, Principal Baldotra praised the chief guest as a dynamic and enthusiastic educationist.
The names of the newly elected council members were announced and honoured with sashes and badges. Shivanshi Virdhi and Kannav Badgal were named Head Girl and Head Boy respectively, while Navneet Kour and Priyansh Attri were chosen as their deputies. Discipline Captains were Garima Sharma and Aarab Sambyal. Cultural Secretaries were Sakshi Thappa (Girls) and Ayush Singh (Boys), while Sports Captains were Anuradha Sharma (Girls) and Amritpal Singh (Boys).
House prefects and deputies were also announced for Rigveda, Yajurveda, Samveda and Atharva Veda Houses. A vibrant Dogri and Punjabi dance performance by Class 6 students enthralled the audience.
The chief guest encouraged students to be confident and responsible leaders. The oath was administered by Hiteshi Jamwal and compered by Akshita of Class X.
