SAMBA, May 30: Bhargava Degree College, Samba, hosted an induction programme for newly enrolled learners of the January 2025 cycle at Learner Support Centre (LSC 1280). Around 200 students from various programmes participated in the face-to-face event.
The programme was presided over by Dr. P.K. Dhar, Principal of Bhargava Degree College and Vandana Sharma, Coordinator of LSC 1280, along with Assistant Coordinators, Academic Counsellors and Study Centre staff. A team from IGNOU Regional Centre Jammu, led by Regional Director Dr. Sandeep Gupta and Assistant Regional Directors Dr. Asha Upadhyay and Dr. Vikram Singh, acted as resource persons.
The interactive session covered academic programmes, assignment submission, re-registration and examination schedules. Learners raised questions about study materials, counselling and exams, which were addressed by the experts. Many students, especially from remote border areas, expressed appreciation for the informative session, highlighting its significance in guiding their academic journey.
