Bhadarwah CC, JKP XI register wins

JAMMU, Nov 27: Bhaderwah Cricket Club and JKP XI trounced Anantnag Cricket Club and Maharashtra Cricket Club in the ongoing Indian Unique T20 Cricket League 2013 which is being organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda in collaboration With 76 BN at Country Cricket Academy ground Gharota, here.
The first match was played between Anantnag Cricket Club and Bhaderwah Cricket Club. Batting first after winning the toss, Anantnag Cricket Club scored a total of 99 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Liaqat scored 26 runs, while Mohd Yousaf contributed 21 runs.
From Bhaderwah Cricket Club Abid Mushtaq and Asif took 4 and 1 wickets respectively.
In reply, Bhaderwah Cricket Club chased the target in 12 overs. Abid Mushtaq was the highest scorer with 52 runs, while Abir contributed 31 runs.
From Anantnag Cricket Club, Mushtaq and Sahil took 1 each.
Abid Mushtaq of Bhadarwah Cricket Club was declared as man of the match for his all round performance.
In the second match which was played between Maharashtra Cricket Club and JKP Cricket XI, the latter emerged winner.
Batting first after winning the toss, JKP XI scored 155 runs by losing 4 wickets in stipulated 16 overs. Ashish scored with 49 runs, while Amit contributed 42 runs his team. From Maharashtra Cricket Club, Amin and Sameer took 2 and 1 wickets respectively
In reply, Maharashtra Cricket Club scored 118 in stipulated 16 overs. Kaplesh was the highest scorer from Maharashtra Cricket Club, who scored 31 runs, while Amin Shah contributed 20 runs. From JKP XI, Rajesh Gill took 3 and R.K Bhat took 2 wickets.
Rajesh Gill was declared as man of the match for his all round performance.
Mohd Amin and Saddam Hussain acted as umpires, while Wasim Raja was thescorer.
Vivek Sharma, former Ranji Trophy player and Chairman Country Cricket Academy Gharota was chief guest.
