SRINAGAR, Aug 31: The Baramulla Cricket Forum (BCF), along with prominent sports personalities, has urged the BCCI to include Auqib Nabi in Team India, following his stellar performance in the Duleep Trophy. A celebration was held in Baramulla to honour Nabi’s achievement, drawing enthusiastic participation from locals.
BCF Youth members said Nabi’s rise highlights the untapped cricketing talent in the region and called his success a historic moment for Baramulla and the Kashmir Valley. They emphasized that recognizing Nabi at the national level would inspire thousands of young athletes across J&K. The forum also reaffirmed its commitment to support emerging players and demanded greater opportunities for Kashmiri youth in national cricket.
