BBAJK honours Vimaljit for South Asian Gold Medal win

JAMMU, June 28: The Body Building Association of Jammu and Kashmir (BBAJK), under the banner of the J&K Sports Council, felicitated Vimaljit for winning a Gold Medal at the South Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championship, held in Thimphu, Bhutan.
Vimaljit was trained by renowned coach Rajesh Dutta of BBAJK. The felicitation ceremony was graced by Member of Parliament Jugal Kishore Sharma, who lauded Vimaljit and encouraged him to continue making the country proud.
MP Jugal Kishore emphasized the importance of sports in promoting a healthy lifestyle, stating, “Addiction to sports is far better than addiction to drugs.” He appealed to youth to actively engage in sports and contribute positively to the nation’s growth.
Rajesh Dutta presented Vimaljit with a gold medal and certificate. He urged youth to focus on physical fitness through exercise or yoga and warned against drug abuse and anti-social behavior.
BBAJK President Arun Sharma praised Vimaljit and other bodybuilders from the UT for their achievements, noting the growing recognition of bodybuilding as a sport. He urged youth to join the “Nasha Mukht Bharat” mission through active sports involvement.
Others present included Vinay Sharma (Vice President, BBAJK), Nand Kishore, Rahul Bakshi, Sachin Singh Jamwal and Sanjay Bali.
