Bar’s Annual Sports Meet sees energetic 5th Day

JAMMU, Apr 1: The fifth day of the Jammu & Kashmir High Court Bar Association Jammu Annual Sports Meet 2026 saw high enthusiasm as members actively participated across multiple sports, demonstrating energy, skill and camaraderie.
MLA Thanamandi, Muzaffar Iqbal Khan, a senior bar member, visited the cricket field, engaging with players, sharing his experiences and appreciating the Bar Association’s efforts in organizing the event.
The day featured competitive action in Cricket, Volleyball (women), Basketball and Badminton. In basketball, Team Slam Dunks defeated Team Titans to claim the top position, while women’s volleyball saw Lady Feathers overcome Lady Litigators to win the gold medal. Badminton star Antra excelled, winning the women’s singles and, alongside her partner Pooja, also securing the doubles title. The cricket league stages concluded, deciding the teams advancing to the Super 8 stage. The men’s badminton finals are slated for tomorrow at MA Stadium, Jammu.
Basketball and volleyball tournaments were inaugurated by Nirmal Kotwal, President of the association, along with Vice President Baldev Singh, General Secretary Pardeep Majotra, Joint Secretary Anshu Mahajan, and Treasurer Rahul Aggarwal. The office bearers expressed gratitude to all members for their continued support and highlighted the competitive spirit and sportsmanship exhibited throughout the meet. The fifth day reaffirmed the bar’s commitment to fostering teamwork, fitness, and camaraderie alongside professional excellence.
