REASI, Feb 23: The Badminton Tournament 2025, organized by Reasi Police under the Civic Action Programme, concluded today at the Indoor Stadium Reasi. Paramvir Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Reasi, was the chief guest for the final match event.
The tournament saw 32 players from across the Reasi district competing, with 16 teams in the Men’s Doubles category. The championship match was a thrilling contest between Shivam Gupta & Sunit Sharma and Abhinav Sharma & Anil Sharma. Ultimately, Shivam Gupta and Sunit Sharma emerged as the champions, defeating Abhinav Sharma and Anil Sharma.
SSP Reasi emphasized the importance of such events under J&K Police’s Civic Action Programme, providing a platform for the youth to showcase their talent. He praised the participation of Reasi’s youth in the tournament, noting that sports activities promote a healthy lifestyle.
Surinder Sharma, President of the District Badminton Association Reasi, along with Vice-President Vikas Sharma and General Secretary Abhinav Sharma, expressed gratitude to J&K Police, particularly SSP Reasi and DySP HQ Reasi Vishal Singh Jamwal, for their support in promoting sports in the region.
