JAMMU, May 3: ASN Higher Secondary School, Channi Himmat, Jammu, conducted a programme to elect new Student Council members. The ceremony, held in the school auditorium, was graced by Dr. Darakshan Andrabi, Chairperson of the Hajj & Waqf Board, Jammu & Kashmir, as the chief guest. P B Kapoor, Managing Director of Adarsh Educational Trust, was the Special Invitee, while Ritesh Kapoor, Director of A.S.N. Hr. Sec. School, along with other dignitaries, including Neetu Gandotra (Principal, Govt. Hr. Sec. School, Channi Himmat), Seema Sambyal (Principal, Holy Presentation Convent School, Kathua) and Vishakha Pandita (Outreach Manager, Shoolini University), attended the event.
Ritesh Kapoor congratulated the elected student council members and highlighted that leadership is about serving others, listening to their voices, and working together for a common goal. Dr. Darakshan Andrabi emphasized the importance of leading with integrity and compassion.
Raqib Talib from Class 11 was elected as the Head Boy, while Pratibha Charak from Class 12 became the Head Girl. Gitansh Singh Charak of Class 8 was chosen as the Deputy Head Boy, and Parinidhi Singh from Class 9 was elected as the Deputy Head Girl. The House Captains include Anshuman Singh from Class 10 for Water House, Poonam Kumari from Class 8 for Air House, Muntaha Qayoom from Class 8 for Fire House, and Zoya Khan from Class 7 for Earth House. Ranvijay Singh Charak from Class 12 was selected as the Boys Sports Captain, while Lavanya Kapoor from Class 8 was appointed as the Girls Sports Captain. These students were presented badges for their victory and are now entrusted with their new leadership responsibilities within the school.
