JAMMU, May 23: ASN Higher Secondary School, Channi Himmat, in collaboration with Bharat Vikas Parishad (BVP), Shivalik Branch, organized a free medical camp under the “Anemia Mukt Bharat” campaign, focusing on girl students and female staff. The event was graced by Sunita Gupta, State President BVP, as guest of honour and presided over by Ritesh Kapoor, Director of ASN School.
Medical examinations were conducted by renowned orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Amritpal Singh and his associate from Orth-Ist Clinic, Airport Road. Blood samples were collected for anemia testing and individual reports will be shared later. Kapoor appreciated the initiative and said, “Medical camps like these help girls develop healthy habits and build confidence.”
The programme was anchored by BVP Shivalik Branch President Ashok Khajuria. Dr. Shreyansh Kumar Jain, State Yoga Commissioner and President of Vichar Kranti Manch International, delivered a motivational poem stressing the importance of health awareness and anemia prevention.
Dignitaries present included Arun Sharma, Vijay Sharma, Rajesh Gupta, Ashok Gupta, H.C. Vaid, Gurmeet Singh, Prof. Bharat Bhushan Sharma, Rakesh Mishra, Vivek Mahajan, Sunita Mahajan, Aarti Sharma, Rajkumari, Anju Bansal and Vandna Maini. A musical performance by Anju Bansal uplifted the event. BVP distributed jaggery and roasted gram to promote iron-rich nutrition. H.C. Vaid delivered the vote of thanks.
