REASI, Dec 20: The Asmita Khelo India Women League 2025-26 was held at Multipurpose Indoor Complex, Reasi.
The event was inaugurated and concluded by Harbhajan Singh, President, J&K Weightlifting Association, who encouraged athletes and emphasized the importance of women’s participation in sports. The ceremony was attended by dignitaries including Harish Sharma, Amit Sharma, Manjeet Singh, Dileep Singh Chib, Bhuvneshwar Singh, Gurmaz Singh, Karanjeet Singh (President, Reasi Weightlifting District Association) and Karanjeet Singh (General Secretary, National Conference Samba Kathua).
Yudhvir Singh, General Secretary, J&K Weightlifting Association, highlighted the role of such initiatives in promoting grassroots sports and empowering women athletes. Prize winners included Priya Kumari, Nisha Devi, Priyanka Devi, Anuradha, Filory Jan, Rashi Syal, Shazia Nisar and Irtiza Ayob.
