Artificial Rock Climbing concludes

SRINAGAR, Sept 14: Jammu and Kashmir 18th North Sports Climbing championship organized by the Tourism Department from September 09 to September 13, 2012 at Tourist Reception Centre near Railway Station, Nowgam, Srinagar.
An Artificial Rock Climbing championship was also organized in which 104 climbers from various parts of country participated. As many as 30 youth of J&K State were imparted Rock Climbing Training. Among them 7 students took part in Artificial Rock Climbing which was prepared by J&K Tourism department. The championship was concluded on September 13, 2012.
On this occasion, the Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Dr. Asgar Hassan Samoon was chief guest briefed the importance of the Championship and distributed the prizes among the climbers who participated in the Rock Climbing.
The Director, Tourism department, Kashmir, Talat Ahmad and other officers besides a number of students of various institutions were present on the occasion.
