BANDIPORA, Sept 15: To motivate the youths and encourage the spirit of sportsmanship, Indian Army’s 27 Rashtriya Rifles organized a Volleyball Tournament under ‘Operation Sadhbhavana’ at village Kiuhnus, for the youths of Bandipura and Baramulla districts, here.
The main aim of conducting such event is to explore the hidden talent of youths and channelise their energies in the positive direction.
The tournament was played at vill Kiuhnus with active participation of 21 teams from villages of Kiuhnus, Watlab, Alusa, Alusaghat, Ashtiung, Malangam, MS Mir, Kemahghat and Kuyil.
A total of 250 youths were engaged in the sports activities and the event concluded with the mega final today, wherein Ashtiung A emerged winner.
The winners and runners-up teams of the tournament were awarded with cash prize and trophies.
