Army organizes Cultural, Sports Mela

POONCH, Feb 1: To celebrate its raising day the Rashtriya Rifles Battalion, under the aegis of Romeo Force organised, a Cultural and Sports Mela namely Jashan-e-Awam, here today.
The highlights of the event were cooking competition, best traditional dress, vehicle pulling, tug of war, strongest and fastest man, kite flying and jalebi race wherein teams from various nearby villages under its Sarpanchs participated.
Prominent among others present on the occasion where General Officer Commanding, Counter Insurgency Force (Romeo), Commander Rashtriya Rifles, Padam Shree Shambu Nath Khajuria, Shamsheer Hussain Choudhary, SSP Poonch, DC Poonch, GL Sharma, Principal Govt Degree College Poonch and ADDC Poonch.
