Army jawan dies in accidental fire

RAJOURI, Jan 29: An Army jawan was killed in an accidental firing while traveling in a One Ton vehicle in Budhal area today.
A police spokesman said that mishap took place when Naik T T Sillu from 60 RR Battalion was traveling in an Army vehicle. As the vehicle reached at Samote, due to jump on the bumpy road, the gun fell down and went off. The soldier received a bullet injury on chest and was rushed to Military Hospital Rajouri. He however, died on the way.
The police registered a case and started investigation. The deceased hailed from Nagaland state. The body of the jawan after postmortem was sent to his home town.
