JAMMU, Jan 21: Army Public School Jammu Cantt hosted its grand annual prize distribution ceremony, celebrating the outstanding accomplishments of its students in academics, sports, and extracurricular activities. The event was attended by a large number of students, parents, staff, and distinguished guests, reflecting the enthusiasm surrounding the occasion.
The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome to the chief guest, Brigadier Harjot Singh, along with his wife Kanwaljeet Kaur, and other dignitaries. The lighting of the ceremonial lamp marked the beginning of the event, symbolizing the pursuit of knowledge and the school’s commitment to nurturing talent. Principal Puneet Kour presented the Annual Report, highlighting the school’s milestones achieved during the academic year 2023-24, including academic excellence, sports victories, and community service initiatives.
The event’s highlight was the distribution of awards to meritorious students excelling in academics, sports, and cultural activities. Awards were presented to star readers, budding authors of Bri books, and the Girls Band of the school, which performed at the Republic Day parade held at MA Stadium. Rachna Sharma and Ashish Anand were honoured with the Extraordinary Achievement Award for their contributions to NCC and Inclusive Education.
Brigadier Harjot Singh addressed the gathering, emphasizing perseverance, innovation, and the importance of holistic education. The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by Vice Principal Manmeet Kaur, followed by the AWES song and the National Anthem, leaving everyone inspired and proud.
