JAMMU, Aug 2: Army Public School Damana, in collaboration with Centre of Excellence, Chandigarh, conducted a two-day Capacity Building Programme on Inclusive Education. The programme aimed to create awareness and equip teachers with strategies to handle diverse learning needs.
The event began with lamp lighting by Principal Pushpinder Kaur, Vice Principal Shallu Kapoor and Headmistress Anurita Koul, accompanied by resource persons. Students welcomed the gathering with a soulful song.
Sessions were led by resource persons Geeta Sharma, Principal of APS Akhnoor and CBSE expert, who stressed inclusive practices for holistic development and Ashish Anand, Special Educator at APS Jammu Cantt, who shared practical classroom strategies.
56 teachers from various CBSE schools actively participated in interactive discussions and activities. Pushpinder Kaur highlighted inclusive education as a moral responsibility, while Shallu Kapoor praised educators’ commitment. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Rimpy Thaploo.
