JAMMU, Dec 20: Army Public School, Damana celebrated its Annual Sports Day today with great enthusiasm at the ground of 20 Punjab Unit, under the theme ‘Sanvardhan – Sarvangin Vikas’ emphasizing holistic development through sports.
The event was graced by Brig Kumar Anand, Commander, 19 Infantry Brigade and Chairman APS Damana, as the chief guest, while Surbhi Sonal Anand, Chairperson, FWO Chenab Brigade, attended as the guest of honour. Several Commanding Officers, parents and staff members were also present.
The programme began with a warm welcome, followed by the Torch of Glory, sports oath and balloon release. Vaibhav Sharma and Suman Parihar, Vice Head Boy and Girl, presented the school report. An impressive march past by NCC, Scouts & Guides, and the four houses set the tone for the day.
Students participated enthusiastically in track and field events, while parents and teachers joined fun games. Dr Hargobind Khorana House emerged as Overall Best House. Principal Pushpinder Kaur appreciated the efforts of all.
