Annual Sports Meet by Humanity Public School commences

SAMBA, Sept 27: Two days Annual Sports Meet, being organized by Humanity Public School Bassi Kalan Bari Brahmana commenced today.
On the opening ceremony, Colonel Navneet Kumar Deputy Commander, Artillery Brigade was the chief guest and declared the sports meet open in presence of BD Sharama Deputy Chief Education Officer, Samba, Sunil Kumar District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Samba, Govind Singh Zonal Physical Education Officer, Purmandal, Anil Kumar Corporator, Ward Number 68, JMC, Tarsem Thappa Councillor, Ward Number 7, MC, Bari Brahmana, Bimla Devi Councillor, Ward Number 8, MC, Bari Brahmana, Gaurav Charak Principal, Anku Charak Vice Principal, Akashdeep Raina Incharge and other dignitaries.
In his inaugural speech, Colonel Navneet Kumar highlighted about the importance of games and sports in students’ life.
Principal in his address welcome address said that this event provides a great opportunity to the students to showcase their talent and skills.
The main attractions of the first day were Inter-House Matches of Basket ball (Boys and Girls), Volleyball (Boys and Girls), Kabaddi (Boys and Girls), Spoon-Lemon race of 1st and 2nd Classes (Girls), Tug of War (Senior Boys), One Leg Race of 1st and 2nd Classes (Boys), Three Leg Race of 3rd and 4th Classes (Girls), Brick Race of 8th and 10th Classes, Needle and Thread Race of 9th Class, Crawl Walk by 8th Class (Boys), Long Jump, Martial Arts and Speed Ball.
All the events of the first day were supervised by the Convener Ajay Kumar and Mahan Singh Sports Incharge.
The stage was managed by Anshu Billowria, Sarita Jamwal and Namrata Sharma.
