RAJOURI, Nov 7: The Annual Sports Meet 2025 of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) commenced with great enthusiasm at the University Football Ground. Prof. Jawaid Iqbal, Vice Chancellor, inaugurated the event, declaring the meet open amid cheers from students, faculty and staff.
In his address, Prof. Iqbal lauded the Directorate of Physical Education and Sports, highlighting the role of sports in fostering discipline, teamwork and leadership among students.
The inaugural day featured exciting football matches. The Department of Information Technology and Engineering defeated the Department of Management Studies by 4-0, while the Department of Information Technology secured an 11-0 victory over the Department of Computer Sciences.
The event was coordinated by the Directorate of Physical Education and Sports, with proceedings conducted by Dr. Naseem Gul, Head of the Department of Islamic Studies. The meet promises a week of competitive sports and vibrant student participation.
