UDHAMPUR, Apr 6: Shaheed Inspector Kamal Singh Government Model Higher Secondary School Udhampur organised its ‘Annual Day’ and released School Magazine ‘Veni Lehar’ at Sher-e-Kashmir Police Academy Auditorium, here today.
Principal Secretary School Education, Bishwajeet Kumar Singh was the chief guest, while Director School Education Jammu (DSEJ) Ravi Shankar Sharma was the guest of honour along with former Minister Pawan Kumar Gupta and CEO Udhampur, Arvin Kumar Koul.
A colourful programme including folk dance and skits were presented by the students. The Principal Secretary had an open interactive session wherein students, teachers and prominent citizens participated. The chief guest gave a patient hearing of all the questions/ issues and advised certain steps to increase standard of education.
He said that there is no doubt the Government teachers are the best but there is need to highlight the achievements of the Institution.
The DSEJ appreciated the efforts of the School as well as for good academic results and motivated the students and staff to work hard with full zeal and capacity so that students of Govt School can compete in the modern world. He also directed the School Administration to prepare a DPR for the infrastructure development of the Institution.
Earlier, Principal Sunil Sharma welcomed the dignitaries and briefed the audience about the previous two academic and sports achievements of the School. The proceedings of the event were conducted by School teachers including Amit Sharma and Shruti Sharma.
Former Minister, Pawan Kumar Gupta also interacted with Principal and staff and apprised him regarding the problems being faced by the School. CEO, Arvin Kumar Koul presented a formal vote of thanks.
